For the past 30 years, Catholic Life Insurance has hosted a “Flag Day Celebration” event at our Home Office Building in San Antonio, Texas, commemorating the U.S. Flag’s birthday. This event is free to the public and promotes patriotism in the community through the celebration of a great American symbol.
Flag Day 2023 Celebration and Luncheon will take place on Wednesday, June 14 at the plaza and is free to the public. The celebration will feature a tribute to the Flag followed by the Flag Day Poster, Video and Patch Contest winners presentation for those in attendance, refreshments and lunch. Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the first United States Flag by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1777. The festivities are designed to increase awareness of the Flag and to reinforce the principles of liberty and justice as defined in the Pledge of Allegiance.
