What is a fraternal benefit society?

Fraternal benefit societies are groups of people who share a common ethnic heritage, occupation or general interest. By definition, a fraternal benefit society must: Be an incorporated society, without capital stock, organized and operated solely for the benefit of its members and their beneficiaries, and not for profit; Have a Branch System; Have a representative form of government; and Provide insurance and fraternal benefits.

Catholic Life has called San Antonio home since our founding in 1901. We currently call the Catholic Life Insurance building at 1635 N.E. Loop 410 our home. We've owned the 9-story office tower since 1975.
