If your high school senior is a Catholic Life member and is college-bound, we invite you to check out Catholic Life’s All American Scholar program. But you had better hurry as the deadline to apply for this scholarship is March 1, 2018.

Each year, we award 35 college or trade school scholarships to graduating high school seniors. Called the All American Scholar Award, this program recognizes the well-rounded student.  For more information or to download an application, please go to www.cliu.com/member-benefits/scholarship/ or call the Communications Department at (210) 828-9921

Each scholarship is for $1,000 and is non-renewable. The judges select winners based on their community service, scholastic achievement, and a 250-word essay describing their most valuable volunteer experience.

Our ideal candidate is someone who excels academically and who has a solid record of community service.  Well-rounded students who dedicate themselves to making a difference in their communities have the advantage.

In addition to filling out a simple application, students must write a 250-word essay about their most rewarding volunteer experience. We want to know what you learned about yourself and about others.  Tell us how has this experience changed you, changed how you interact with others, and changed your community?

Each year we have between 150-175 members apply for the scholarships. As a result, we are very firm about the deadline. Your application must arrive at the Home Office by the March 1 deadline. All applications received after that date will be ineligible.

Our selection committee is comprised of professional educators with experience in scholarship evaluation. Because they are independent of Catholic Life, there is no bias in their selection.
