For the third consecutive year, Catholic Life has made a substantial financial donation to ACTS Missions, the parent organization of the popular ACTS Retreats.
“Catholic Life Insurance is proud to be a supporter of ACTS Missions. We believe that ACTS is one of the most important
movements within the Catholic Church today. It is our sincere hope that this gift will enable more people to take part in an
ACTS Retreat and continue their spiritual journey,” explained Michael Belz, President and CEO of Catholic Life Insurance.
1 Million Participants Worldwide
ACTS Missions was founded as a non-profit in 1997 to spread the ACTS retreat to new parishes all over the world. ACTS began in 1987 as a lay-driven parish weekend retreat that has its roots in the Cursillo Movement in the Archdiocese of San Antonio. ACTS retreats concentrate on enhancing parish life through Adoration, Community, Theology, and Service.
Today, ACTS retreats are held in each of the 15 dioceses throughout the state of Texas as well as in 28 states and in seven countries (U.S, Canada, Mexico, Honduras, Panama, England and South Africa).
More than 1,000,000 people have participated in ACTS retreats since 1987.
